More about the artist:

Victor Reyes has drawn inspiration from his upbringing in Los Angeles (Compton, East LA) and the rich culture of Michoacan, Mexico where he was born. His life has been a blend of these two worlds, and his art reflects this duality.His work is an amalgamation of personal experience, religious imagery, cartoons, and pop art, creating a unique fusion of hopefulness and darkness through various mediums, such as printmaking, sculpture, drawing, and painting. He has exhibited in galleries, universities and museums such as Craig Krull Gallery, Santa Monica; USC Fisher Museum of Art; Huntington Library; Cesar Chavez National Monument, Tehachapi, California; Museo Nacional de la Estampa, Mexico City; and the Annenberg Community Beach House, Los Angeles. In 2017 he was Artist-in-Residence at LACC USC Fisher Museum Los Angeles, CA. He teaches printmaking and ceramics at Art Division, Los Angeles.
