Exposure Portfolio Reviews 2024
Exposure 2024 offers artists and creatives an online platform to showcase their portfolios and receive expert feedback from renowned, international professionals. Reviewers are selected for their expertise, as well as their curatorial and professional backgrounds. Participants can expect to receive candid feedback, valuable insights and constructive criticism about their images, as well as professional advice about exhibitions and other opportunities.
HSC&A / IG Live with Alia Malley
Join us Friday, September 6 for an HSC&A / IG Live featuring the incredibly talented Alia Malley. We’ll be taking a virtual tour of Alia's new studio and home in Lamy, New Mexico just outside Santa Fe, where the artist creates her unique, photo-based work and crafts custom scents in her very own scent lab. The studio, completed in July 2023, sits on 5 acres near a historic train depot. We’ll discuss her move from Los Angeles to the Southwest, her recent Arctic Circle Residency, and her new book that is currently in production.
PAC Virtual Talk with Matías Sauter Morera
Matías Sauter Morera will take us through his most recent body of work which explores important notions of identity through photography. In his current project, Pegamachos, the artist uses AI to generate images that reimagine gay culture in Costa Rica while providing a platform for conversations about previously censored queer history. We will discuss the trajectory from traditional photography to artificial intelligence and how visual storytelling can be a powerful tool for connecting people.
Ceramic Pop-up Sale Day 2
Join us at Art Division for a special two-day Ceramic Pop-Up Sale featuring recent ceramic sculptures and vessels by some of L.A.’s favorite ceramists. This event is part of the Open House Weekend at Art Division, located adjacent to MacArthur Park. A portion of all proceeds will support Art Division's continued offering of FREE arts education programs for young adults ages 18-27 from historically under-served communities.
